Thank you.
The photo had me wondering because from the position it does not seem like an extreme or precarious situation.
That's the problem. It isn't/wasn't an extreme or precarious situation. I believe it was one of those flucks that happen. Several hours or a day or so later I pondered deeply to try and figure out how it happened. My only answer is the bucket pressing down which is what I was doing was lifting the front of the tractor to put weight on the edge of the bucket to drag back to round off edge just lifted the one side while the lower side without dirt under it just lifted the high side higher and the lower side lower till it reached the tilting point and just laid it over before I could even get my hand off of the lever. It was a very fine line there between not on its side and on its side. I was wishing I had gotten the Kubota insurance during that fraction of a second.:laughing:Thank you.

I was stopped so slow isn't enough. If you don't have to don't traverse, go up and down. I know that's easier said than done especially when your in the heat of battle or doing the job in less than a couple of years but always look and make a conscious decision of doing it the safe way. If you have to traverse a hillside ponder/consider/decide whether you need to drop the outer BH foot down some to maybe catch the tractor if it starts going over and maybe extend the BH bucket toward the upper side of the hill. I've done both on a few occasions BUT get them back to the safer position when/as/before you change directions. Not trying to scare you but just want you to be safe. I've been working a hillside for almost 10 years and hillsides are a challenge for top heavy tractors.Looks like just a little curb. This is what has me scared because even when going very slow on my sloped hill. The ground is pretty fresh and rough from a decent sized excavator that did the original clearing. I need to do some serious rock and root removal and grading before I will feel comfortable traversing even a small slope.
