So if you kill yourself due to a mental illness, but you're heart is "right" with God, you're argument is the person killing themself would still go to ****.

YOU stated that you can not go to heaven beacuase you're breaking one of the 10 commandments (you should not kill, but you're killing yourself). My argument to that nonsense is NO ONE lives without breaking one of the 10 commandements once in their lives.

So, If I lead a life without sin but kill myself, I go to **** because my last act was a sin?

If you live a life of honesty, care for others (including animals) you shouldn't be afraid of anything including dying.

I find it odd that the vast majority of killing over the centuries has been committed by, or in the name of one church, deity, religion, belief or another. Thou Shalt Not Kill (unless you disagree with us in which case we'll send our armies in to slaughter you enmasse).

And that (back on topic) they also are the most vehemently opposed to a merciful end to suffering due to illness.

I would never, ever think about using a .22LR if suicide were a consideration. Way too many things that could go wrong.

Guess there is something to be said for sleeping pills.

The added reality is depending on how the insurance reads, I can understand why some people had an accident while cleaning their gun.

That's a case of people not being familiar with firearms. A 40 gr. .22 bullet just pokes a neat little hole. A 36 gr. hollow point is more effective, but even that is only effective on small animals. You can use it to put down livestock for butchering, but you have to know where to aim or it won't penetrate the skull. If you're going to eat a bullet, I would think a .380 JHP would be the absolute minimum round.

Bullet placement counts too. I have a buddy who was an attempted homicide victim. He opened his front door and took a .45 LC round to the belly. He closed the door, walked to the phone and called the police and an ambulance, then went back out, locked the front door, and sat on the steps to wait for the responders. He didn't want to bleed all over his living room.

If I ever need to go out, I'll use the plastic bag and tank of argon method. Quick, painless, and you can buy everything you need at the local Airco. I think I would use a thin transparent plastic bag like a dry cleaner bag and go out looking at something beautiful.

My dad died of lung cancer, and my father-in-law died of metastatic prostate cancer. I'm not going that way.

I don't think that's in the book. Augustine didn't suggest it was covered under "thou shalt not kill" until the 5th century, and it didn't officially become a sin until the 6th century. Before that it was not a religious issue. Catholics won't let you push posies in hallowed ground if you off yourself, but protestants generally give you a pass.

I don't know whether car exhaust is as effective as it used to be, but early one morning, I found a car behind a place of business, engine running, a double length of water hose (garden hose) with one of the ends inserted into the exhaust pipe and securely taped in place, the other ends into the back window of the car on the driver's side, also securely taped and sealed. And the owner was dead in the driver's seat. That was the only corpse I ever saw with a smile on its face. He left a note on the dash that said, "Life's too much so exit laughing." P.S. Don't tell (wife's name) until afternoon because she has an exam this morning."

Quite odd how non-believers, here on TBN and across our country, go out of their way to mock God and those of us who believe in God and do our best to follow His Commandments.

I really try not to get involved in other people's religion, but when you start threatening people with damnation unless they toe the line, you are out of your lane.
