Nope. Just Forward and Reverse Shuttle

Thats a shame. In my opinion a major oversite on Kubotas part. I like the GST but without being able to set the throttle above idle, it really limits the usability of the tractor. My 3130 had a hand throttle by the steering wheel. I used it to set RPMs like a cruise control, I used it alot for loader and dirt work and especially for the BH. Which brings up a question.
How do you bring the RPMs up and set them for the BH or for PTO operation if it has no throttle to set?

It does have a hand set throttle for using the BH and maintaining a constant rpm, it is behind the GST gear lever and very simple to use......

Here is a photo of the constant rpm hand throttle on the L-39 GST, it is the red knob to the left of the three rear hydraulic remotes.

Skypup,

I guess I didn't describe the hand throttle well in my message. I know about the one for the backhoe.

It's obviously my inexperience with the GST transmission which led to me to not thinking about setting the RPM at a constant speed. Obviously that would help with back and forth and I could use brake and clutch, or steering column shuttle shift lever, to stop motion. Sort of a modified HST

Thanks to all.

GST trans is great for open field work, lots of flexibililty with great efficiency compared to an HST. Downside is it really sucks for fine control loader work.
If you used an HST with a loader you wouldn't even consider doing without one. It lets you get really close to buildings and finished structures without worrying about hitting them once you are used to it.

With my limited experience on an HST, they do work real nice for close in loader work and next to buildings. The L39 has a big bucket for a little thing and a lot of overhang, making control tough if the tractor gets kicked to the side.

All said for what I do, I prefer the GST. Be nice if Kubota offered an option.
