If you want real simple put a check valve on the bottom of a piece of pipe and move the pipe up and down. Viola-water pump.:thumbsup:

Using one's thumb on the end of a hose will also work.:thumbsup::laughing:

If/when you decide on a hand powered pump, how you going plumb it ?

Would it not need its own down line ?

If your original down line is anything like mine, ain't no way I could drop a line down along side of the original. Mine has plastic thingys that keep it centered every so feet and another anti spin plastic thing at the bottom.

Now I could pull it, then drop 2 lines down at the same time.

Simple & Cheap.

Just put in a raised storage tank. Depending on a lot on how much water you use, would determine the size.

At one place we had way off the grid we had a 3,000 gallon tank at 14' above ground for inside water and a 1,500 tank near ground level for out side water.

At the mining claims where my sister lives there is a 500 gallon tank at about 15'. Plenty of water pressure at both places. We did have a gas pump on the 1,500 gallon tank.

Deep Well - 30'. Sure does not sound deep to me. Current well is being pumped at 340'. Around here that is not considered deep.

Yes but my idea of a well bucket did not match what is in the link. It seems like a good cheap idea that would be pretty fool proof. The pump design they have is interesting.
