Hand throttle for 2016 RTV X1140? I can't find one....Is it a unicorn?

The guys inn the ATV forum found this, that site has cables up to over 30 feet in length, also available on Ebay with cheaper ship options. Come up with the bracket for the end of the sheath and a cable end it is a cheaper alternative.

Today I got an email from Ruth at Kubota national. I am now convinced the inmates are running the asylum.

Ruth(Kubota) is now telling me I need Whole Goods kit V4487 and V4499 to get this throttle kit to work.

I am starting to think nobody at Kubota local or national knows a single thing about what they are selling or servicing.

Local Kubota says, "We are still trying to figure this out".

I sent pictures of my parts kit list and Steve's part kit list to try to show them that my kit is incomplete from Kubota.

I losing faith in Kubota at a faster pace than hope is coming.

That’s disturbing news. I know we are way out in the weeds on this but they should know their product line better. What if a dealer needed to bid on a commercial buyer request that wanted a 1140 with a front mount hydraulic broom? The dealer would need this to make an accurate bid or get left holding the bag

I agree Steve. I am very frustrated right now. I know I'll get it worked out but I can't believe that my local and Messicks are clueless about this. But I figure if Kubota national can't figure it out, where are the local guys going to get help.

Steve, I took the picture of your kit and circled the fork to try to help point them in the direction they should already be going. I really don't why she talks about 2 other Whole Goods kits. V4487 and V4499?

In my first email I said I would like the be able to use a hand throttle for bringing the engine RPM up, without changing the machine speed, for various things like a sweeper.

Miss Ruth sent my inquiry to engineering but I don't think engineering gets it that the V4497 kit that they put together is incomplete. See the photo below engineering's response.

Here is Miss Ruth's reply to my last email:

Mr. XXXX,

Thank you for your continued correspondence with Kubota Customer Satisfaction regarding your RTV-X1140. The kit your purchased includes a detachable throttle cable, hand throttle knob, a washer and a hairpin. We are including an image of the final release engineering notes associated with the V4487. The V4499 kit is compatible with all RTV1140CPX models. This kit is required for use with the V4491 rotary sweeper. It is possible that an attachment, such as the rotary sweeper, has the fork you mentioned. The best way to determine which part you may need and how to obtain one is to contact a dealer.

Looks like Engineering needs to get out of the office and look at the kit and the machine. Then maybe they can modify the kit so it works. You need the bracket from my kit and you will be in business, correct?

Steve, I do think the bracket and the associated hardware would make this kit work, yes.

Should be an easy fix for Kubota and release an updated kit and a bulletin out to the dealers. This problem is squarely at the feet of Kubota, not the dealers

Good question, I suspect others fabricate a bracket on their own
