They need to take a little more Pride in their work

The DOT tape is upside down :D

Actually, these people at TP are pretty smart. They want to save money and reduce inventory. The red/white reflectors on the left and right side of the trailer are the same sticker (reduced inventory). They are red to the rear and white to the front on both sides. The company logo is "upside down" on the left side of the trailer only :)

This is my 6'8"x16' trailer and 3/4 ton truck. With 7,000 lb axles I can carry about 10,000 lbs of payload. I upgraded the hitch receiver on the truck from the factory 2" unit to a 2-1/2" receiver (Titan hitch from Reese), and will be adding air helper springs and possibly a weight distributing hitch.

I highly recommend you check the load rating of your receiver, ball mount, and hitch ball; and make sure they are rated for the load you plan on pulling. My factory hitch was only rated at something like 7,500 lbs.

My tiller and post hole digger are in the bed of the truck. I have removed the SMV triangle placard from the backhoe so as not to lose it on the road. The picture was taken before the red flag was put on the backhoe bucket and a tie down was used to secure the loader.

Despite the disadvantages of weight, cost, and ease of loading/binding, dump trailers are pretty versatile and certainly suitable for hauling a tractor.

Marty, are you sure there's not a kitchen sink in there somewhere?:D;)

Agree. Best bang for the buck if you only want to tag and maintain one trailer.

If I were buying today I'd go gooseneck so you have a nice place to rest the bucket like Allen.

Kitchen sink...pretty funny stuff...I relooked at Marty's pic. That took some doing to get the bush hog loaded, everything looks pretty level. On my trailer, with a heavy load I use a weight distribution hitch. And the stock hitch was puny. I did as Q Saw did and put a Putman XDR class 5 receiver on.

Just wondering...on the dump trailers...how are they set up to recharge the battery? Do you have your #1 and #4 pins going to the trailer battery for recharge or do they have something different?

On the one and only dump trailer I sold the 12V #1 pin and ground #4 pin were wired to the battery for the dump. This battery also was wired to the brake-away switch to power it if needed. So the battery serves a dual purpose, brake-away and hydro pump, so it needs to be charged and maintained to meet my states trailer brake requirements.

Yup, on my EZ Dumper I have never had to boost the battery, going on 4+ years, even with long stretches of no use and short drives.

One thing to remember is a TLB on a dump is starting to get a little on the topheavy side. Watch you stability around turns and sudden braking.

Nothings better for hauling equipment than an equipment trailer. Load stays low and less tippy.

I realize not everyone can have 2 trailers, but I though it worth mentioning just the same.
