You know something Rat! Wouldn't it be better, when one of these posts comes along, to just take a 'chill pill' and ask for more info? There's no need in getting all pissed, jumping up and down and crying foul. Simply ask for more info. If it doesn't come, then forget it.

Funny Billy, looking at the post as I see it, that is exactly what happened. There were a couple of zingers aimed at CowboyDoc, perhaps because he is a moderator, but quite frankly, very little of the PO and a whole bunch of the "hey wait a minute, lets see some details". Here is the way CW started the post.

"There is no reason to buy a NEW Kubota, they do not honor their warranty so you might as well buy a used one at 1/2 the price or look at another compact tractor. I have a complete document outlining my experice with a brand new L4330 for some 20K and a backhoe. The backhoe has only 40 hours on it and the dipperstick bent. They refuse to warranty it even though its only 30 days old. I have ordered a woods 9000 to replace it. BE WARNED, their warranty is VERY vague and they simply don't warranty the tractors or equipment. I've also found unfortunately too late for me, that others have had the same experinece. "

We soon found out later a thumb was welded on which in all likelyhood voided the warranty. Thats unfortunate, that is where I really do sympathize with him. Welding on some steel changes the strength characteristics, perhaps that happened, maybe not. It's unfortunate and certainly benefits those of us who may have thought or have done much the same thing. I for one would like CW to show up and start it over. That would certainly be advantageous to us all. I can think of a few suggestions to help make the post more informative and beneficial to us all. That may be a bad analogy, but I am just trying to see things throug the eyes of the person responsibe for keeping us in check.

I think the thing that led us to this thread is more curiousity as to what happened. I never got the chance to read many of the posts so I really want to know what happened. I for one can understand the anger that comes from the failure of a brand new piece of equipment. I hope CW gets a satisfactory outcome from his problem.

I think most would agree that there is no lack of passion on this board which I feel is to everyones credit. There is nothing worse to me than someone who is milquetoast.

As I have said before," I am new here" so my oppinion does not mean squat. I did realize though this is not the place for me. To bad because there is some good info but I have seen it several times that there are some "bullys" in our midst and I do not want any thing to do with it. Muhammed(sorry if I spelled that wrong) said that they do not delete a registered member and he said to just clear all info. So I did. It seems like for alot of posts there are a few who will jump you if you just don't state something in a correct manor. This last occurance was in a way justified but you see it alot in other posts. 20% bad mouth attitude ruins the other 80% usefull info. Its been fun but not real fun. And thus ends my last post and last login. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I direct this post at no one person....just in general.

Actually Hillslider, to say your opinion doesn't mean squat could not be more incorrect, look at just how much CW Stevensons first post meant. I don't know that many folks here care about the numbers or longevity of a poster here, but place their emphasis on the content of their posts. I encourage you to give TBN more time. If you cannot tolerate TBN, theres little out there that you will enjoy from my experience. It may not always agree with you, but it has much information that can be of value. That to me has always been what happens in life. Rat...

P.S. I always get Muhammads name mixed up. Is it a 'u' or an 'o' an 'a' or a 'o' or a 'u' or a 'e'. I just like to use "The Big Guy"

Hillslider, you obviously haven't spent much time visiting discussion boards on the internet. I have, and this is by far the most cordial environment there is.

New member here and I feel this is by far the most "sane" forum out there.

Hillsider, I wil say this.. Just as with CW I think we all lose when we lose a diffrent point of view. I have had times when I have put down in words something that when I read later I could have /should have worded diffrently.

I have suggested this forum to other tractor shoppers, some have stated "O you mean the Kubota board." I for one have been all over this board and find the more diversified it becomes the more I learn.

I have yet to purchase any of the big three. (I have an OLD Case backhoe I am going to downsize) I do agree each brand has its Hawks ,if you will but I don't discount their opinion. I just may not agree with it. I don't Know how many other boards you have been on but in my experience this has been the most civil. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Leaving a good board because you had a disagreement seems pretty petty. Stand up for yourself and what you believe at any given time. There are 6000 plus members here, you wont agree with all of them all of the time.

Hillsider, I have not seen what you have seen. Stick around even if you don't post - just to see if you may have gotten it wrong about this forum - and then if you conclude you got it wrong you can come back on and participate - you will be welcomed. This is an amazing fourm - until I found this, I was nearly clueless about what I needed to know and what my needs were and might be regarding a tractor. I found there is an amazing community out there of tractor savy persons who are just lurking and waiting to help whenever they can. They have different tractors, different properties, different weather, and so on, but through their collective experiences the chances are that the truth will out. Obviously, sometimes they will need more information and will need to have things clarified so they can help, but that is only logical. They will need to challenge a bit from time to time, will need to probe a poster's positions in order to get at the bottom line - and the bottom line is to be helpful. An example - when I posted that I had finally decided on a B7800 I was immediately challenged - several members felt I might have been making a mistake. I could have said that I knew what I needed more than they did, after all, not one of them had seen my property, knew my needs, etc, but I recognized they were trying to help me - and I re-thought everything and keep looking and ultimately made a better decision. And yes, there are different personalities expressed here, to have it otherwise would be really boring, Come back / don't leave, share your own experiences and enjoy the differences. Personally, I want to be challenged a bit when I am seeking help so that the advice I get is ultimately more likely to be correct.
