All I got is 1-1/4 acres of orchard grass and cut it with a rotary field mower, and would like to rake it up. All I got is KK landscape rake and I tried that with no luck. Is there a drag rake or cheap rotary rake I should look for? I don't know the difference between a tedder a rake? I've seen something describe as a side delivery rake for $600 on Craigslist, but don't know how that works. I've a 35 hp Jinma tractor to pull it with. What should I look for? bjr

google side delivery rake on youtube.

youll know one when you see it.

that is typically the smallest easyest to use espeically if its ground driven.

you can get a small tedder that will also windrow depending on weather or not you use a diverter.

Look for a 3 point PTO powered side delivery rake. That will work best in small fields ans you can lift it up and over your rows when needed.

Side delivery rakes rake to the side where as centre delivery rake to the middle so you need at least two rotors. Tedders fluff up the forage to dry so you do not want that. Look for a small PTO driven one rotor rake. FAZA or Daros make nice cheap ones.
