That's great /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif ! I had 14 years of experience in a machine shop. We did a lot of diesel heads. Warpage is the diesel heads worst problem beside cracks. Even the slightest amount can lead to a head gasket leaking, lots of compression there. We put seats in a lot of small diesel heads. Most were manufactured with replaceable seats in them just like the big boys but some had to be cut for seats. Once the hardened seats were installed the head was ready for many more hours of service. Shoot, after they took the lead out of gas we put hard seats in everything. The old no-lead punds them out in a hurry!
