I like the idea of having use of a receiver hitch and rear weight at the same time. I will be pulling a dump trailer to location(s) on the farm, while using my grapple to load it with tree debris.

Another brand - another design - less expensive .... are all options for me, as long as it incorporates both receiver and weight.

Where do you get weights?

It uses standard suitcase weights. You can buy them almost anywhere.

But they are expensive. 1.35 a lb.

THAT is why I am open to an alternative design.

If I go this route, I'll start keeping my eyes open for old weights being sold. A little paint and Voila!

Seems every old tractor I come across, the weights are among the first things missing. Gotta love those parts that don't wear out
