somebody in another forum said this "You went past the Regen cycle, now you need to have a service center reset it"

If anyone knows what this means could you please elaborate for me? Does this have to do with the DPF?

this is what that person said:

"Yeah, it's how the tractor cleans the DPF, I used to work at a Kubota dealership, and on kubotas with DPF, they have a button that cancels the Regen cycle because it scares most people, the tractor will smoke a lot while burning off the deposits, but if you hit that cancel switch too many times it will automatically lock the tractor in limp mode and only the factory diagnostics computers can reset it, Boatas will also lock you into Limp mode if you shut off the tractor when it is telling you to do a Regen cycle. I don't know if NH are the same. But most Diesel trucks with DPF are the same way"

"Yeah it sounds like it locked itself up. So it's forcing you to go to a service center"

UPDATE: So my tractor doesn't have a DPF

Don't matter, it's still ECM controlled. Wy all my tractors are conventially injected.

If it uses DEF it has a DPF, if it doesn't use DEF they will have a similar device called a DOC. DOC is a Diesel Oxidizing Catalyst, they rely on exhaust temperature to stay clean also, but with usually less problems then a DPF.It may need a dealer reset, or you may get lucky by disconnecting the battery for an hour or so. They both have temperature and pressure sensors.

Likely an exhaust senor has failed.

Or, regen could have been canceled enough it won't try to regen again. I know you are trying to fix this yourself but I think you're out of luck. It probably needs to have a parked regen done by the dealer.

I'm going to agree on probably having to take it to the dealer at this point. One of my NH tractors would let me do a manual regen but the other would not. I had some issues with it when it only had about 10 hours on it and ended up having to haul it back to them to get the parked regen done. The good news is, it could be worse. This should be a relatively quick fix if the dealer will get on it.
