Help! Need to install a joystick

Hello, I recently purchased a 1967 JD 4020. It has 2 scv's and I need 3 (loader with grapple).the 2 control leavers are mounted on the dash, left of steering wheel which is useless for loader work, so I would like to add a joystick .
I called local JD dealer and got a quote for get this...$5,600.
2,200 for joystick kit, 1,900 for some "power beyond" kit that I also apparently need, and 1,500 labour This won't be happening.
Any help or ideas as to how to plumb in a less expensive joystick Would be much appreciated, thanks, Robert

That kind of money quote is appalling.

Here is a joystick valve. Open or closed center.
