Is it ok to start making fun of you now, or do we need to give you a grace period?

Ah heck!!! Let's make fun of him now. There's no sense in missing an opportunity.

Have at it - won't be the first time. :) In my defense, I'll point out that Kubota Oil and UDT are sold in very similar looking containers.

I gotta say give him a walk...

Sure it was a silly thing to do, but took real GUTS to admit it here.

Salute! :D

Hmmm... first time is OK. Everyone has the right to make a mistake... as long as it's not with my tractor, my car or my truck ;) . If you want a good advice: please if you do the same mistake again don't tell anyone.

My ex-wife put windshield fluid in the coolant recovery tank of one my former cars 3 times  . One time is OK, I'm sure you learned from your mistake.

Well, since several people seemed to think letting the UDT drain was sufficient, verifying that there wasn't any UDT in the new oil filter, and because it was the easiest of the suggested options :) I filled up with the correct oil and after 10 hours or so worth of mowing (i.e., most of one tank of fuel - seems to be a bit more fuel efficient after getting fresh oil) the engine seems to be happy and none the worse for the experience.

I am, however, noticing an occasional vibration of some sort from the HST, typically after the tractor has been running for a while. Stopping forward motion, then starting out again seems to make it disappear for a while (no, I did NOT put engine oil in the HST! :)) - hoping this is nothing serious.

Thanks again for all your advice.

If you have ag tires then it could be the tires getting into a harmonic vibration thing. It happens to mine on paved roads.

Was doing the 300 hour service and had my head up my ... er ... wasn't paying attention and dumped UDT into the crankcase. I caught myself before starting the tractor and am letting it drain out. What should I do? Will the engine get screwed up from the UDT?

Thanks in advance.

If you put in SUDT you would have been fine..
