Kubota B2650, John Deere 5103
So I got my backhoe installed on my Kubota B2650 a month ago. I am thinking about adding a rear remote to use when the backhoe is not installed. My question has to deal with the type of spool valve I need to get. I believe the tractor is an open center hydraulic system. Do I need to get an open center valve as well for the spool valve? I am thinking yes, but want to verify. I can easily just plug the valve into the power beyond lines that go to the backhoe since that part is already done. My understanding is that the hydro fluid just runs in a continuous loop through the line going to the backhoe and would need to continue to do so with whatever spool valve I get. I have seen a few threads on here about it, but nothing that I found is specific about the actual valve. I know Kubota sells a kit for this, but the valve is really the only major thing I need to do this so I can definitely save on the cost. Thanks in advance for any answers/help.

You need an open center valve. I bought mine at Surplus Center, you can save a lot of money but you need to fabricate a mount and do the fittings and hoses yourself. Think about what you want to do with the valve so you know whether to get it with detents and float. I added 3 valves, two for a top and tilt and one for implements like post pounder or log splitter.

this is how i did mine , after you run it a few hrs go back and check the hose fittingds to see if they leak any after they ran a bit with pressure ,
