Someone a member of that board that can blow his cover? The profile say's he's 20 years old-I guess he needs attention?

Too funny. Some people talk about things they never did, after all it's easy to hide behind a keyboard but to take your pictures and start a thread just to get praise from other people, that's low. The worse thing is he's got almost 1200 posts there so he spent some time in the 6 months he's been a member. Now how could he go back, caught red handed. Gald you found out and called him out. Too bad there are a lot more forums out there for him to move to.

That's pathetic but I try not to judge too harshly those posting in an erratic manner as it's likely many of these seemingly a-holes are in the process of recovering from strokes or some other debilitating disorder for which posting is therapeutic and a necessity for a progression toward a relative state of normalcy. I have to believe that this progress, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated by those who have to live with them. So be thankful you have in some small way contributed to this progress from the safety of your own home :D.

I had a similar experience a few years back. ya someone tried to claim the step by step clutch adjustment procedure I did some 5 years back. about 18 months afterward someone copied my posts nearly word for word and claimed it for them selves.

I did bout the same posted link to my original post and the same happened others got after the person more than I did...

The link is dead. I guess the board removed it.

I believe the guy from the other forum is about 15 and has Downs Syndrome (or similar).

Hes filled the other site with lies about him being a farmer and having to take over after the death of his father plus many other "stories".

He was "found out" in a thread he created about overloaded trailers and selling horses. Some in the know out (about horses) questioned him ( he was saying that he got 50K/horse) and his story fell apart.

Not saying its right, and id be ticked off too, ( i was until i saw the videos on his youtube) but thats the background on him to the best i can remember (the horse thread where he was called out was deleted)

Heres a link to his Youtube, i think itll put some of his actions in perspectiveYouTube - nolatoolguy's Channel

Well after seeing the you tube video I feel bad and have to say no harm done, but at first thought this is the internet, he even had my page from flickr acct, that's what kind of freaked me out, not knowing at first how much more of my info he had, if it makes him feel better taking credit 4 my work he can have it..

He sounds like an idiot, but he must be smart enough to manipulate the internet. :D:D

This kinda reminds me of years ago when I saw a guy going down the street and cutting open trash bags looking for something(?), then just leaving the mess there. I chased his truck down and when I confronted him, I realized that he was developmentally disabled. I still didn't appreciate the mess he'd made, but I realized that he wasn't being malicious.

It's all about "content"...we as contributors create content...sometimes very valuable content (when it comes to "eyeballs"...in the www eyeballs = $

web site owners that rely on search based advertising revenue must have progressive, informative "content"...

doesn't matter...anything of value is vulnerable these days...

There have been several times here on TBN where I've spotted something presented as if it was the posters original material, it wasn't and no credit or referral to the source was given.
I even sort of got threatened by one member for pointing it out:(

Credit should be given where it is due, but I suggest that all DIY projects should have the best of all designs you can incorporate in a project. I look at others designs all the time for improvements in my present and future builds.

Claiming someone elses build pics as your own:thumbdown:
