Homemade snow plow mount?

/ Homemade snow plow mount? #11
Was just wondering same thing for my GC2410....I have a 60 inch moose ATV plow I have used in 8 years. Was going to sell it but if i could somehow mount it to my loader bucket I would have an awesome snow machine t go with my 60 rear snowblower. Any thought on how to mount this with out destroying or cutting either the snow plow or bucket?

I don't believe the bottom of the bucket is heavy enough to to do that. That's why I built a frame to mount the plow directly on the arms.

I would beef the bucket up with some heavier metal, where you attach the plow.

The machine also gets pretty long with all that out there.

If you extended the plow arms a bit could you then mount arms to front of chassis, and just use FEL (keeping it above plow) to raise and lower plow?....

On my GC 1715 there is a series of 4 (maybe 8) holes on front cross member of chassis that seems pretty stout and able to "handle" something like a pivot point for plow arms... Might have to remove grill guard (if it has one) ....

Yep I agree, I just want to do this temporarily though so I can use the loader as well to scoop snow banks. So I want to be able to take it off easily.

Hers mine. It turned out a bit nose heavy, so I'm adding a couple chains from the center to the upper corners of the bucket.
The 4x4 sits across the back bottom of the bucket. Easily removable, hopefully it will kick up rather than bend something, but I know better than to ram into a frozen snow bank.
I like having it extended away from the front wheels so I can push the snow farther into my ditch, without getting stuck.

A plow needs a way to float, (at least upward), and rotate a few degrees on the center axis, to always be able to stay on the ground.

You can probably get enough rotation with that set up, if you make the holes where the pin is, oversized.

Are there any trip springs?

If you look at the frame there are two uprights that push against the plow, with loops at the top to keep the plow from falling off. It can float up and down against those.
The black part at the bottom is actually 1" thick rubber that will give.
This is actually an atv plow not intended to be raised, it sort of lays down when backing up. You can see video on the Snowsport website Personal Snow Plow | Aluminum Snowplow | SNOWSPORT Plows

I watched the video.

That's a unique system. I have not seen anything like it.

I'd be interested to see how it trips if it hits a curb. I would guess they have allowed for it to do that somehow.
