Very interesting for sure. Will be keeping an eye out for progress reports. Like the actual building of parts, most people don't realize how much time is involved in designing and building components that come together as a finished product. No cad, just sketches and sittn'nthinkin'

I worked very well today. Began to make a transmission. Gears from a car and a motorcycle. Sheet metal case with a thickness of 15 mm.

Diameter of shaft 47mm, gears from the car. The next step is to install the seals on the shaft.

Very creative! Will it eventually be sealed and full of gear oil?

Yes, gears will be in oil. The transmission body will be airtight.

The box is ready. The next step is to fill it with gears

odd, I don't see a keyway to attach the wheels, nor a groove for a c-clip, that's normally done with the shaft out of the transmission, so it can be put into the milling vise.. I hope you are not going to weld the wheels on!..

I am categorically against welding. All mechanisms must be collapsible. Later the shaft will have a keyway
