Re: Hookin\' Up That Rotary Cutter

A quick hitch system doesn't hook up the PTO shaft, and that's the part everyone is having so much fun hooking up.

Re: Hookin\' Up That Rotary Cutter

Chim,
The top link is just a big hook that is adustable up and down so it contacts the top link pin about the same time the bottom pins do. Beleive it or not gravity keeps everything in place. My cutter also has a swinging connection and I just hook under the horizontal bolt. Works no different than a closed loop toplink.

Re: Hookin\' Up That Rotary Cutter

I have just finished reading all the opinions on PTO hook-up likes and mostly dislikes. Some like the push pin, some like the pull back collars, some like the twist collars....

How would you like to have a shaft where all you do is slide it on....It has sufficient free play to align pto to tractor shaft. The shaft will slide on and lock itself in place.......

To remove push back (very easy) collar. and pto is off. How much is this feature worth??????

How about this: use a John Deere I - Match hitch hook up to your rotary cutter, etc. and easy slide your shaft in place all of 30 seconds.....I have already developed this shaft and it works well,,,,,hope to make it available soon.

Keep those safety shields in place....Your body parts are non-replaceable.....

Re: Hookin\' Up That Rotary Cutter

Thanks for the info. It looked like it would pop out. I like the looks of that rig. If it weren't for the telescoping sway bars on my 'Bota, I'd be checking into one real soon.............chim

Re: Hookin\' Up That Rotary Cutter

Ed,

You sure came to the right place to ask. I know the concept you describe sounds good to me. Any chance you could post some pictures and more information on it? Thanks.

Re: Hookin\' Up That Rotary Cutter

the yoke is currently patent pending in North America and hope to have patent paperwork finalized in a few more select countries, till that time I can not show photos...

The shaft tractor end yoke slides on the tractor shaft similar to any other shaft. No pins, collars etc are needed to be held pushed or pulled. The locking collar actually stays on the tractor shaft.....The collar on tractor is very user friendly, can very push with one finger and slide off shaft....

At this time we have several major equipment suppliers looking at buying this technology from us...

thanks
