We keep an 8' chain to hook on each corner and that always puts load on the corners. Never even tried a center hook. Last thing I loaded was a 14' disc that an oil field man wanted to use. Used two tractors and backed the trailer under it. I do have a hitch ball in the center of one for moving goose neck trailers. Sometimes we have a couple sets of scaffolding on a trailer with people on it working. Easier to negotiate that way.Center for light weight, two in-line with the loader arms for the heavier loads
