Actually it was floor space, he would have lost six inches of deck width. Keep in mind he is going to drive a Razr up on it with the bumpter/brush guard above the cab and he has to exit the Razr.

The bulk of our time and effort so far has been on the structural integrity of the truck bed. It is going to carry an eleven hundred pound toy with about eight hundred of those pounds on the rear axle. This has made things difficult. But now we are doing the fun stuff, head rack with the Texas LED lights that will be the brake/tail in the head ache rack.

It is finally coming together. Today we put the bed on the truck to check for fit. Now we're installing the bottom skirts and tool boxes.

If you think this truck is a little much, we ordered 300 silicone filled butt splice connectors for the lighting, check out the big pickup, little pickup, big pickup, same owner, 75 years old and kickin' it.
