This evening I just got some wonderful news in which I been hopeing for,and I wish to share it with my friends here.

We are going to finally have our first child after all these years./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I can't believe I'll be changing pampers,I wonder if its going to be like changing fliulds and filters on the Kubota./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Looks like I'll be getting a new operator's manual real soon./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I might have to lean on you folks now and than for some advice.

Well got to scoot for I can't set still any longer.

The manual I got had blank pages. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif Can't complain, they had good day hours and a full nights rest. None of that wee hour routine unless sick. Very glad that was not often. It can be like a new tractor in the barn, finding yourself sitting near the bed at night watching them while they sleep.

Congratulations Thomas! If you change your fluids and filters 2 or 3 times a night in a really smelly place you won't notice much difference./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif My daughter is heading to college in a few weeks and I can say about the only thing in her life that has not been a pure joy was her 15th year./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif You have a whole bunch of really fun years to look forward to. Children are what life is all about.

Been There Done That...

Keep in mind maintenance, cleaning and fuel are even more important than on your tractor, there are literally hundreds of "owners" manuals and shop manuals, but none are specific to your model. It taxes the mind. Your new addition is better in that it is constantly becoming a bigger and better model. Your tractor stays the same. Your new addition unfortunately will get to the point where he/she will doubt your wisdom. This usually passes after age 21 or so.

You're at the start of a fantastic voyage, kind of REASON #1 we are here. As soon as he/she gets to about 3 or so make sure there's a nice Kubota JD NH etc toy so they can begin "helping" dad. Stay calm, be patient, ask moms dads, uncles aunts for advice and best wishes from your fellow life strugglers on the tractor board!

There is a manual, THE HOLY BIBLE! Read it and it will be a big help. Also, there are some good books by Dr. James Dobson that will help.

Thomas - I haven't had much time to spend on the net lately, but I just had to say congratulations. You may recall I posted back on February 27 about the birth of my son, our second child. First one is 10 years old, so effectively I am starting this parenting thing all over again. Life could not offer to you greater joy than that which you are going to receive. Yes it will be difficult at times, but the payback is worth it a thousand fold.

Best wishes your way Thomas, I also got a bit of a late start and I will tell you my two boys ( 8yrs and 11yrs old) are my greatest joy in life....my best advise is to be quick to praise and slow to anger and love them like there is no tomorrow !!!!
