Ditto here....all PEX, no plastic anywhere in my house.

Eddie...looks great, keep 'em coming!

Two points.

1. The PEX itself is plastic, so you have lots of plastic in your whole plumbing system.

2. Early on, PEX had failures because they made the brass connectors from the wrong kind of brass, and there was serious corrosion. I go out of my way to use the plastic connectors because of this issue...

We've been working on trim now that the tile is done. I show my dad how by doing some over the weekend, and then he finishes it up during the week. Mom fills the holes, caulks and paints. They are a good team and we are making great progress because of how hard they work.

The insulation is Attic Cat blown in 24 inches thick for an R-60 rating. I was in the attic for over six hours. The last hour is when it got warm, but there wasn't any way that I was going to quit until I had it all done.

The closets are all pretty much the same. Shelving units that I built are in the middle and clothes rods on either side. To me, this seems to be the best way to get the most out of a closet.

All the appliances have been delivered and installed. They went with Samsung on everything from Lowes, where they got a pretty good deal.

We are still waiting on the granite. It's been cut and we are scheduled for installation this Thursday.

Laundry room isn't done. I'm going to build a flat counter/table over the machines for folding everything on. They thought about stands for storage, but didn't want to bend over to get anything out of there, and my Mom didn't want to height of the top of the machines any taller. I will also build a cabinet with doors to go across the back wall and some sort of hanging clothes rod on the left wall. We are still working out the details, but since it's functional, it's sort of a low priority right now.

Eddie, the good son, and his Mom & Dad....it doesn't get better than you all doing this together....Just a thought Eddie...When I built our house I surprise my wife with a Chandelier in the laundry room...I was in Loews one day toward the end of our build and we had not decided on lighting in the laundry room...I saw a really neat chandelier on sale and bought it and surprised her....She gets more comments on having a Chandelier in her laundry room...Just a thought...it gives plenty of light....you could surprise your mom...

You have done a great job....you should be really happy ...so if you're not then you should be....;)

Eddie, I don't recall, did you do any type of radiant barrier?
