Not just Eddie, many others were sharing their first hand experiences. As mentioned above he's been posting right along, dispensing advice on building and construction just the way that he always does.

Thanks for asking. Karen was on Hydroxychloroquine for her lupus and she was 100% after 2 weeks. Diarrhea was her worse issue, but we blame that more on having colon cancer 3 years ago then the Covid. She also lost her sense of smell and taste, but its coming back quickly.

I'm on day 20 and feeling pretty good. The last week I've gone from thinking I was done with it, to having fatigue so bad that it wore me out to just sit up and watch TV. It just comes and goes like a wave. I never lost my sense of taste or smell. Probably the worse thing for me was the muscle and joint aching. The fever never came back after the first 3 days. The only medicine that I took was Tylenol for the fever. My wife gave me some vitamins, but I don't know if they do anything or not.

I think it was last Tuesday or Wednesday that I went in to see my Doctor, and she said that I was no longer contagious. And that I was doing good and to not push myself too hard.

I plan on going back to work on Monday. I have an attic job that I had started the day I first started feeling something. I have all the framing done, so now it's just sheetrock, electrical, insulation and trim work. Carrying 3 sheets of sheetrock up there is the only physical part of the job, so I'll do one, rest, then the other, and rest and then finish with the smaller pieces from the third sheet. It should be simple enough.

Sorry that I abandoned the other thread. It was taken over by silly people making silly comments that nobody cared about except themselves.

Thanks for the update. Until you started the other thread all that I heard about people who actually had the virus was what I read on mainstream media. Thankfully, it sounds like you both are on the backside of recovery and picking up speed. :thumbsup:

Glad you are Karen are doing much better. Wife suffered with bouts of fatigue for months. My wife lost her sense of smell and taste for at least a couple of months and slowly returned. I fared much better and never lost sense of smell or taste. It seems to hit us all differently. But in any case glad you guys have turned the corner.

I'm on day 10 and cannot shake the fatigue. I kept my limited sense of smell/taste (been limited for years), and am able to eat light meals. Wife (Lee Ann) tested negative and has been a real trooper with the grandkids and housework. Wife returned 2 of the grands to their parents (Son +, DIL -) in Charleston SC today, after 10 days with us. Son seems to have mostly recovered after 10 days. Daughter's family of 4 all tested + and SIL has mostly recovered after 10 days. If this fatigue doesn't subside next week, I am considering an infusion of antibodies. Has anyone tried the infusion yet?

A friend of mine had pnemonia with his Covid and was in the hospital with a ventilator for awhile. He is also well over 400 pounds and eats fast food several times a day. His doctor gave him a B12 shot and he said that worked great at giving him more energy. I asked my doctor about that when I saw here and she laughed. She said that it was a placebo and it would do nothing to give me more energy. Only resting and waiting it out will accomplish that.

Thanks for sharing, Eddie. Sounds like I'm about 10 days behind you and having the same symptoms. I am planning to work from home on Monday since i'm not out of the quarantine period yet. Hope your attic job doesn't take you back down. Keep in touch!

Good to hear you and your wife are doing better Eddie.

My battle with Covid started mid-November, off and on fever, feeling lousy, etc. then a few days feeling fine, repeat. Finally got worse and went to the emergency room 11-21. Was diagnosed positive, given fluids, and sent home as 殿s not sick enough to be admitted? Somewhere in this fun, lost my appetite then got to the point I could barely eat. Still had a fever and was getting weaker. Retuned to the emergency room 11-30 and was admitted.

I had Covid pneumonia and the rarer but more lethal Covid intestine. First weekend of December was touch and go. Steroids and a lot of oxygen got me thru the worst of the pneumonia. My doctor for the Covid intestine has her own unorthodox treatment (according to the nurses). But her treatment worked, I was released 12-21.

Lost a lot of weight, muscle tone, etc. slowly getting back. Wife had me go to Rural King and grocery store with her today. Wore me out, but need to push it some. Lost taste and smell, but it is slowly returning, oddly, could taste vanilla yogurt ever since I have been allowed anything by mouth, strawberry, chocolate, bacon, pineapple, orange, ham, and a few other odd flavors come thru faintly. Hot sauce began to work yesterday. A few scents come thru too.

My 18 year old niece tested positive away at University... she is on full athletic scholarship and trains hours twice a day being an Olympic Swimming hopeful.

She didn't know she had it... slight running nose but all athletes tested weekly and she was positive... as were her dorm-mates.

We spoke and she said other than being a little tired and runny nose she would not have known without the test... the others on her team also had mild cases and I am so thankful.

Its been several weeks and she has been medically cleared...

As more theories become facts we can only hope to better understand... have not heard of anyone being asymptomatic but mild cases among young healthy and fit people seem to be the norm.

I'm interested to see what tie ins are proven... many of the local deaths are among those on the heavy side... something I need to watch so I have stepped up my distance walking on days when I come up short and if my soon to be 87 year old mom can hit the trails there is no excuse for me...

Thanks Eddie. Your condition post was exactly the type I want to read. The drawn out fatigue seems to be almost as common as taste/smell loss.
