How do I move my shed ?

Next, we threw down some 5/4 board 'cuz the ground was still a bit squishy, and put three lengths of 3" Sched 30 PVC on top of those boards, and just moved the pipe from back to front.

This shot is coming up to a corner. I just put my bucket on the corner opposite the direction we were going and gave it a push.

May have had to tweak it once or twice, moving the tractor from one corner to another, but it only took a couple of minutes to actually get the room turned in the direction we needed it to go.

And finally, after the turn was made.

Setting it in place was a breeze, too. Once it had reached it's destination, we just lifted a corner, blocked it, moved to another corner, blocked it and so on.

Good luck, this was an easy, too quick of a project. Got me all excited, then it was over. Hmm, I've heard my wife say similar things....

That's exactly the thing of which I wrote just above. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oops, my bad. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Guess I wasn't reading closely enough.

Cool, but with what this looks like, why could you not just get some long..............bucket forks and pick the thing up and put it where you want it. Long as it is not contacting ground, your tractor should handle it............and you have another excuse to get another attachment

I just got a carry all for "added weight" in the back end. She will find it very useful as I move her tractor mounted wheel barrow, to exactly where she wants things

I have an 8X16 wood frame Alum.sided storage building that has two 4x4 sikds or runners under it as part of the floor framing.
Wonder if my Bx23 will drag it like a sled?
The nice part about having structures on skids or runners is that there is no real estate tax on them

Your BX will drag that sucker with no problem. I have a 8X12 shed that i bought from Southerlands pre built all wood. I needed to move it 1/2 mile I put 2 4x4 under it nailed some 2x6 boards across the 4x4 to keep them spread apart screwed some big eye bolts into the the 4x4 and tied onto it with a 12 foot chain hooked to the back of my BX 22 I had some real doubts but when i put the throttle to it and and started draggin it just pulled the thing the 1/2 mile without a problem. It was blowing black smoke and the HST was screaming. I had to stop and re adjust the angle to make the turns but it will do it.
Sorry no pics but I was so thrilled to move it I did not want to stop to take pictures.

You could use round fenceposts as deadwheels.. as they roll out the back, add them back to the front. Taks a bit of time.. but you can move a pretty decent size building that way, depending on it's sub-flooring construction..

I have several 2 foot sections of 4 inch steel pipe I kept around after using them for such a purpose.

Since I posted to this thread with one method I'd used with great success, I thought I'd show the last method I used. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
