Is the 2620 a good model? Are there features missing on this model and should I be looking at other models that would offer more features and better usability and value?

Where can I find a way to access the specs and compare different Kubota tractor models? Especially the models that are no longer being sold-like the 2630, 2710, etc..
For example in what ways are the 2630 and 2710 models similar and how do they differ from the current 26 and 2920's?

I haven't used this feature for a long time, but,,, seems like you can go to the Kubota website and bring up data on previous models. Can't remember exactly how. Will give you a spec sheet on whatever model you select.

It's sometimes useful to just search the model, then if you see a link to "tractordata" it will give you quite a bit of the info. Here's a link to their info on the B2710..
The 2620 is almost identical to my 2920, just a few less ponies. It's a good enough tractor. The biggest disappointment I have with mine is 1: no position control on the 3PH. They have a quarter inching valve which I consider next to useless. and 2: I'd like a little more 3 PH capacity for some heavier attachments. I'm thinking of moving to an L3200 just for those reasons. I bought mine with some extra's that I may forgo if I move up, especially the BH...it's useful enough but not so much that it pays for itself.

I have a 2002 B2710 I bought new and have put about 500 trouble free hrs on it. I know around this area if they are in good shape they are asking over 10K. I would have a hard time wanting to sell it even at 12K (not that I could, my wife claimed it after she bought me the L45). It is a good size any acreage or hobby farm.

What size bucket is mounted on the 2710...54"?

There is a 2710 nearby with 550 hours with an asking price of 11,500. Has been left outdoors some of the time and has a seat with some tears.

How do L-series tractors compare to the b series?
For example an L3200 compare to a B3200 or B3300su?
There's also an L3200, late 2011 model with 20 hours, garaged for 17,500 obo nearby.

Good info so far... the L3200 looks to be a fine tractor.

Jodebg, have you considered shopping different colors? In this size-range, there are a lot of great options that are worth comparing. JD, Kubota, Mahindra, NH, LS, Kioti, etc ... they all spec pretty close and some are better at certain things than others.

For example, if you compare with LS tractors, the Kub L3200/L3800 compares almost directly with the LS G3033/3038 tractors. Here's how they spec against each other (all 4x4 3-range HST) [all specs obtained from each makers website]:

............................................... L3200... - L3800... - G3033... - G3038
HP/PTO: .................................. 31.9/25.2 - 37.4/30.3 - 33/26 - 38/31
Total Hydraulic Pump output (GPM): 10.5..... 10.1...... 11.9....... 11.9
3 pt Lift capacity (at 24" aft):...... 1435#... 1435#... 1808#... 1808#
Weight (not including loader):....... 2623#... 2668#... 2612#... 2690#
Loader lift max height (at pins):.... 94.3"..... 94.3"..... 90.7"..... 90.7"
Loader lift max weight (at pins):... 1131#... 1131#... 1600# ... 1600#
Loader breakout force (at pins):... 2462#... 2462#... 2628#... 2628#

So in this particular comparison... the tractors are extremely close spec wise. The LS has a slight advantage in Hydraulic output (13% more output), 3pt Lift rating (25% more) & Loader LIFT (41% more) capacities. The Kubota loader will reach 3.6" higher (4%) than the LS loader. Using straight comparisons like this will show you where each make/model will outshine the other. And to be sure, each tractor will have advantages when you compare them in this way. (regardless of color)

The difference will be price. Folks are getting that G3033 HST new for around $15,000 ... and the G3038 HST new for around $16,500 (approx).

You may do a bazillion different comparisons like this, and end back up favoring a Kubota... or you might decide on something else --- but do yourself a favor and check out machines from at least 3 or 4 different makers. You may find something you like better about one of them, regardless of whether it's green, blue, red, orange, yellow ... etc ... and you may be able to save several thousand $$$ in the process, and get a better/longer warranty to boot! Everyone here will support whatever decision you make... it's your money! But shop around and sit on different rigs. You might like the way the Mahindra seat feels, or you may find the JD loader joystick in a more comfortable position etc etc etc ... You may sit on a Kubota b2920 and prefer the operators area to the b2710.

Spec comparisons are a good place to start. But as Fred stated above, not all is revealed that way. I don't need a butt massaging heated seat or self adjusting pedals or anything like that. But, position control 3pt, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, clutch pedal controlled PTO, telescoping 3pt arms, telescoping stabilizer bars, etc., are at the top of my list.

In the case of Kubota, they went backwards in these regards when they quit the B2710/2910 models and introduced the B3030. One example is they eliminated the clutch pedal. When using the PTO the clutch pedal was extremely handy. The specs would never indicated that change.

So when we start comparing brands, these issues need to be at the top of the priority list. The only way a new buyer is going to know anything about them is to spend time cruising dealer lots (without salesman interference) and compare features. Whether brand "A" can lift 100# more than brand "B" isn't nearly as important as the comfort and use features of each brand. The less poplular brands usually want to only talk about specs rather than features. That's why you need time alone with the tractors, without salesman chatter distracting you.

There will be those that will scoff at such simple features as telescoping steering wheel. But I tell you from experience, after a couple hundred hours of use things like that become very important.

Good luck with your search and let us know the results. :)

The Kubota B2910 was unmatched in features on a tractor of that size. As I said before, that's why they have such a high resale value. And most importantly, that is why you will never hear an owner or previous owner complain about them or the features they have.

Richard, can we say that the 2710 was unmatched as well?

There is a '02 B2710 for sale locally with 600 hours, turf tires and an asking price of $11500.
Looks as if it was left outdoors , rips in seat.
Worth the $11500?

I avoided some comparisons involving the B2710 because I've not owned one. I think they are the same tractor except engine size. The 2710 uses a 3 cyl diesel. The 2910 uses a 4 cyl diesel. I cannot honestly comment on all the other features but think they are the same.

Again, I've never heard an owner of a 2710 complain.

As to the dollar value, I cannot speak of that because there is a lot of difference in regards to geographic location.

Last Winter I tried to trade my JD2210 for a B2910 with 60" deck, FEL and 1000hrs. I could have bought it straight out for $10K in Missouri.
