I had a gallon of fresh UTF left over, so added half a gallon to 2 or 3 gallons of diesel in the tank. It cranked slightly longer before starting then ran fine. It had a faint smell of overheated transmission. No problems. I am assuming that hydraulic and UTF burn about the same.SPYDERLK said:This occured to me as well. So far I haven't tried it. I think I read on this site that someone's wife poured used hydraulic fluid into the fuel tank because her husband had put it in diesel fuel cans temporarily. The consensus was that this was not a problem ?
How about filtering it and running it in 10%/90% hydraulic/diesel fuel mix ?
