I'm sure I will be with funnel and can from time to time. Best buy two and keep one in the truck. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Some kind of storage tank would be good, but I just don't use enough.

You don't need to use a lot of fuel to take advantage of some sort of fuel station / storage tank.
One of the greatest benefits of such a set up is easier filling and handling of the fuel regardless of how much or how little diesel fuel you use.

( With all the posts that concern bad fuel I purchased Mr. Funnel. Check it out at the following;
http://www.mrfunnel.com/Home.html

It works great. To test it you add water! yes water;; none will run through the funnel. Yes it is pricey, but considering cost of an injector pump or an injector it is like changing oil on schedule. Would you add a little dirt with your oil? You will be surprised what is left in the Mr. Funnel after filling your fuel tank. I use it all the time even when tractor is on trailer and I fill at service station, I fill through the Mr. Funnel and will find debris even right from the fuel station pump. )

MR Funnel and spill proof can's don't go together.

HRS, I bought a kerosene pump from Home Depot 3 years ago for under $10.00. It uses 2 D batteries and will pump all but 4 or 5 ounces from a 5 gallon can. Bill C

Since I have a diesel pickup as well, I bought a standalone 275 gallon oil tank from the local heating supply company, and installed a 110V AC diesel pump with a standard fuel nozzle (similar to what they have at a gas station) ordered online from Northern Tool. No more mess, and no more hefting a jerry can. Getting bulk fuel delivered is cheaper as well, not including the tax break because it's a business expense.

I do wish I'd spent a couple more dollars for an auto-shutoff nozzle and a flow meter.

Sounds very useful. I probably will not run out more than a tank per outing, so something working on around 5 maybe 10 gallon capacity would be best for my needs. I've yet to make it up to TSC.
