How do you plow snow?

Love the old P/U's. Wish I had one. My first truck was a 62 Chevy. Bought it the year we got married in 68. I do have a 2001 Ram 3500 that still earns it's keep though.

We had about 5 or 6 inches of light fluffy snow yesterday. The windchill was below zero by the time I cleared it.

I have used everything and none were perfect. This year got a 7 ft pusher and so far so good. Still too early to tell but it beat everything else so far. Best of all...NOTHING that is a PITA to hook up, or shear pin, or maintenance.

I would never have consider one, but my buddy bought one two years ago and loved it.

I've used tractors from a WD Allis Chalmers to a CIH 7220, trucks from Scouts and 3/4 ton up to 5 ton.
Currently most is done with my Branson 8050, using the bucket or the front blade or the rear blade or a blower.

A while back the IH 574 pushing the back blade.......the IH574 with the old blower, when the 8050 went down

And then the little Kioti for cleanup work

My driveway is only like 200'. Last year I bought a new (just needed carb cleaned) snow blower for $100. I actually don't mind snow now.

The guy was asking $300... But he couldnt get it started when I showed up. So I took it for $100 and cleaned the carb.

I could use the 4820.... But it's not really needed

I've have the exact same Craftsman SB for 15 years now -- it's been very reliable - just 2 belts and a drive pulley. Engine always starts on first or second pull. It's only for a few hundred feet of walks and pathways.

Yeah, haha soo funny LOL you’re a regular Geoge Carlin aren’t ya. LOL

The whole thing that’s flown over your heads is the reference to “real” snow as if his snow was more “real” than anyone else's snow.
But y’all missed that.
Is his snow any more “real” to plow, shovel, salt, etc than anyone else's?

Is 10” of his snow any more “real” than 10” of snow where I live?

I could argue mine’s more “real” because I live in a climate where people aren’t as accustomed to heavy snow as where he lives and it places a more “real” burden on us.

Now maybe you now understand what I meant by “real” versus “fake”
The "realness" of snow is measured in units of frequency, depth, and persistance.

A "snowfall" has now particular influence on realness.
