What modifying a screw Cork that fits the jug and put on one of the taps mounted those bags of wine in a cardboard box?

OK, the cap may be one answer but you would think a mass merchandised product would be self-sustaining enough to be able to use without the added burden of a separately purchased accessory. While I like the concept of the square jugs, we're thinking about going back to the old style jug from a different store. We really don't drink all that much anyway.

Slightly off topic, apparently back in the 60's, the owner of Heineken came up with an idea to repackage his beer into bottles that could be repurposed into building bricks. He had visited the Caribbean and noticed his beer bottles contributed to the trashy conditions and thought this would be a great way to solve two problems - too much trash and a lack of affordable housing.

They made 100,000 bottles, enough for 10 houses, but his marketing team nixed the idea. The plan never made it to full production. I think he was ahead of his time with that idea.

Heineken

Dep, I found that Heineken bottle idea very funny -I lived in Aruba for 18 years, and we thought they threw the bottles out on the barren areas to make it look green! The brown Amstel bottles were recycled to the Curacao brewery, but the other use for Heineken bottles there was to mortar the broken-off bottles along the tops of walls to deter thieves. Rustic but effective. The Heinekens "bier" was way better than the stuff imported to the US, too. No Amstel Light, either - real brew only. Now they have a superb brewery on Aruba, making Balashi Bier.

Why on earth doesn't it just come with that??

Back to the original subject, just use one of those fuel transfer squeeze pump/siphons. Be sure to wash all the diesel out with gasoline first so you don't curdle the 2%...

I've heard of them doing this in parts of Brasil too. Can't imagine it being very effective, as one would just need to throw a heavy blanket over it to scale the wall. If one wanted over, it wouldn't be much more difficult than without the glass pieces.
