We only use 1/2 gallongs which are square but pour easy. My solution to pouring from big jugs is to keep a small jug and refill that with a funnel. One of the greatest ever when I had to start doing the cooking for my disabled wife was the cooking oil: I took an empty dish soap squeeze bottle, cleaned it out well, filled with oil from the big jug. I can grab, give a squirt in fry pan and put the bottle back on the shelf almost blindfolded. Very easy to get enough but not too much oil vs trying to get a "splash" from a large container or a non-squeeze container of any size.

Great minds think alike. Here is a catsup bottle with the cap off of a syrup bottle, its worked well for us over the last 2-3 years:We only use 1/2 gallongs which are square but pour easy. We have been buying our milk in the new style square gallon jugs and I cannot figure out how to pour it without seeming to spill more than I pour. There has to be a secret or method to pouring without spilling but I'm clueless about it.
Does anyone know the secret to pouring without spilling?![]()
