Getting my first tractor along with a box blade and a rear blade. The tractor will fit fine in my current 20X24 'barn' but I am wondering about the attachments. I have already hinted to the wife about an expansion but someone has to have a ingenious idea on how to store attachments.

I rather not store them outside on the ground.

Thanks

My cutter and box blade are outside right now along with the tractor. Until I get my tractor shed built, I have by box blade and cutter sitting upon concrete blocks to keep them off of the ground.

All outside. The amount of time it would take a boxblade to rust bad enough to not be useable.........doubt it will be my problem..

I will be storing mine in a 3-sided livestock shelter.

I store mine on pallets inside a fabric quonset-type building which my brother gave me.:) I keep the ends open to minimize condensation. In the meantime I'm building a storage building with a concrete floor.:)

On pallets in a garage. I am planning to put casters on the pallets to make it easier to move the the snow blower and the BB

Pallets with casters is a neat idea!

Not knowing where you live...but I've got a rock rake that has been outside for going on 9 years and still works fine...paint is a little dull, but big deal...

After 9 years of the same exterior exposure, my PHD just needs a little extra grease in the spring to make the PTO knuckle flexible...:D

A extra leanto would be nice but useable land is valuable...

Tractor and ballast box are in the garage. The ballast box is on a furniture dolly. Everything else is outside in a HOA mandated fenced in enclosure. The enclosure has 3/4" rock and each implement sits on three to four 12" square concrete paving blocks.

I dunno, I got a pallet jack/dolly on sale at Harbor Freight for $149.

I can put the implement on a plain pallet, or on a pair of 4x4s, or anything else that holds it up off the ground. The jack stores under one of the implements.

And, it is good for anything else big & heavy.

I just line 'em up along the side of the garage. For me, this is the way to go as long as you have a concrete floor.

I have all mine on furniture dollies. That way I can put the ones that are seasonal behind the ones I am going to use this season. It really makes hook up a lot easier also. I can also turn them odd ways to make them more compact for storage. I also nest them when possible, the water tank inside the pond scoop, on top off the pallet forks, etc.

All but my back blade are in the basement of my carriage house. The back blade is on 1 by boards just behind.

All the other implements have castors or dollies underneath them or are sitting on a pallet with castors underneath. Helps a WHOLE LOT to be able to move the implement to get it both on and off. The boards work for the lightweight back blade.

There was a post on here a while back where someone built heavy duty shelving and placed implements verically on the shelving using a pallet fork attachment on the loader. It was very well done.

There are also stands for mowers and PHD. I plan to build a stand for my PHD under my leanto so that it takes up as little space as possible, yet is easy to put on and off the tractor.

I think the castered pallets are probably the most versitile. But, mine are on dirt or stone. So, I would want pneumatic casters. Now if I could just find an inexpensive source for them.

I used to keep my ballast block on a furniture dolly. Got tired of lining it up when removing, so I took the casters off the furniture dolly and welded them to the bottom of the ballast box. Now it is fully mobile at the drop of the 3 point.

A wood pallet and sky tarp seem to work fine for me.:D :D :D

I will add cinderblocks under the pallets and out of sight from SWMBO . Jay

Outside. In the dirt. Been that way for three years. Everything, including the tractor still look fine. (You ever seen tractors or implements at a dealership stored indoors?)

Having said that, as soon as I can scrape up $2k I'm going to build a 3 bay 30'x20' dirt floored shed. Hope to start in May......but I've been hoping to start for about a year now.
