I agree with others. If you have a lot of ice or hard packed snow or have a driveway on a hill you will probably need chains.

I have never used chains on my tractor and when relatively careful don't slip around too much. I have used a back blade, box blade, and FEL for snow removal (not a lot of snow in last 5 years.) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The back blade worked nicer when I turned it around and backed the tractor. This way I shove the snow beffore driving on it and packing it into ice. The box blade is a very HD unit and the extra weight gives me better traction. It has cutting blades faced both directions so I can use it like a grader blade when backing up. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I have the maximum wheel weights (cast iron) that Kubota allows but the tires are not filled. The tires are industrials not Ag. - - - - - - - - - - - We average a lot less snow than do many areas, say North Dakota, Minnesota, and the other semi-arctic states. Oklahoma weather, snowfall included, is quite variable and varies from extreme to non existant in any given year. - - - - - - - - Pat
