Some good news from the briefing. Apparently 3 things can kill this virus off quickly. Heat, Humidity can greatly reduce the half life of both aerosols and virus on surfaces . And the UV light from the sun can kill the virus in a minute and a half. It could be that "sheltering in place in your home" is exactly the wrong thing to do. Maybe getting out in the heat and humidity and sunlight outdoors is the right thing to do. Social distancing of course. Maybe letting the children play in the skatepark is the exactly correct thing for them to do. Maybe letting people get in their motorboats and going out on the lake to fish and play is the exactly right thing to do. Maybe letting people buy seeds and plant them in their garden is the exact right thing to do. The testing continues, but the preliminary results for heat, humidity and sunlight look very very good.

This same thought has been going through my mind for several weeks already. Well said!

Right?? I mean we are spending trillions of borrowed money to keep people from catching a pretty survivable virus. Im not suggesting we expose anyone to it who is marginally unhealthy. Keep them isolated until the cure comes. Take the infirmed and elderly off the street, then the death rate goes way way down.
Meantime we gotta think about us ALL dying an economic death. That kills all ages and health profiles. Depressions are very real and very deadly. Just ask anyone who is still alive from the 1930s. The stories my dad told me....
Get the Corona, you can very likely survive. Take your job and all your wealth? You probably cant survive. Thats many millions of people. Look at all the people we are finding out had the virus and never felt sick!
I dont want to live the rest of my life in a mask & gloves. I don’t want to see people living inside the rest of their life, Its like chains.
Go outside and take precautions, but sooner or later drink from the bitter cup......
Live free or die.
In the meantime, follow your governors instructions
How about that hydroxychloroquine ... miracle drug I hear ...![]()
