How is your local weather this year compared to "normal" conditions

Four nights ago last week, had a two year record low of 5 degrees, today it's 60.

We've had a couple snowfalls and a stretch of cold (14F) which is unusual for this normally temperate area. Just to the north in the Portland metro they got hammered with up to a foot of snow; they aren't properly equipped to deal with a skift, so this legitimately really put the screws to them.

It was teens last week. It's warmed up to about 50 degrees and it's supposed to hit 60 tomorrow with all next week being above 50. That's normal weather here. It'll likely be in the teens a few more times before spring. I predicted a cold and wet winter. I was right about wet, but no colder than average.

We've had a couple of easy winters, This one is shaping up to be normal so far...

Mr. Fowler, after you define 'normal' then I will be able to tell you what my winter is like.
Northern Ontario anytime after Labour Day one can expect snow and colder temps. So far this winter we've seen -20F for a couple of days and some snow, also some rain.
Last Christmas (2015), not the one just past, we were praying for snow for Christmas. We had -20's to -30's in December.

Last week it was in the teens here and got a bit of snow but the last couple of days the temps have been in the 60's. We have had our share of cloudy conditions like for a week or more at a time not seeing the sun but for some reason not very much rain out of it. We should be in dead of winter now and experiencing mid to high 20's and 30's in temps. This is really a weird weather we are having in the South.
How does this stack up to others across the country. I see the weather channel showing lots of snow and low temps in the far north which may or may not be the norm for you guys. How about it for the World's TBN members, are you normal? (as far as weather, I already know some of you aren't really normal)

I've never known what normal is supposed to here. They are either bitching about it being too dry, too hot, too wet or something and it's always said to be something unusual in one way or another. The only sure thing about climate change is that change is normal. If it ever quits changing, then we can start to worry and that is about all we can do, worry and fret. We sure can't do anything substantial to affect it in any meaningful way while no tax has ever fixed anything.

Tuesday morning I woke up to -9F. Today I wake up to 44F and rain. The high today was 50F. The fluctuations are not normal. The rain is not normal. Should be in the teens during the day and 0 at night - give or take 5 degrees. Weird weather. I am in central Maine.

Not all that long ago in geological time all of Maine was under ice.

In the 1980's the week after Xmas was -25f during the day for the entire week. We've had a month of January where the warmest it got was 0F during the day. That felt like normal to us.

I suppose "normal" is not something that we can expect in todays weather. I watch the local weather and they state "average temps" then record highs and lows for the day. Average temps for an area is what I would consider normal, not the record highs or record lows that sometimes occurs with every locale.
I dont believe that we mere humans can change the "global warming" effect. Geologist show that the earth has went thru many ice ages and then warmer climates over it life and while we may contribute to it with our waste, I don't think we are going to significantly change anything. Volcanoes spew more CO2 and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere in one eruption than the entire population of earth contributes for many years which is why I cant see our scientist and engineers being able to stop our "changing climate". We need to be investing in ways to be able to live with the changes that are coming that we cant keep from happening.
