How long did your original battery last??

15 years and the end is here... My '02 MF1455 has the original Yuasa battery in it and though it has been getting a little weaker, it still started the tractor. Yesterday it failed to start though, and after jumping it and letting it run for some time, it failed again today. Electrolyte level is good. Pretty sure it has finally sulfated beyond the point of no return...

I've only owned it for a year and a half, but the owner before me only ran the tractor in the summer, and charged it occasionally in the winter. (With one of the old style transformer chargers...) It lived outside it's whole life in western Colorado.

Wonder if I can find another Yuasa battery for it??

MY CK20 is an '09 and the battery is still good.............it sits in an un-heated barn with a maintainer on the battery.

In '82 I bought my first tractor - 1982 Ford 1710 4WD. The OEM battery lasted six or seven years. The replacement battery was from Les Schwab - a gel cell battery and it lasted eleven years.

I pulled the OEM battery in my 2009 Kubota in 2015 and replaced it with a Odyssey and a Deltran trickle charger.

Just an update. My 2007 Kioti DK40se original battery is still going strong. Forgot to put the trickle charger on it back in November but it started right up on a cold day in April. No complaints.

My current battery is 4 years old. The original battery shorted a cell at 6 months and was replaced under warranty. second battery lasted 2 years, third battery lasted 3 years, fourth battery lasted 4.5 years on my 05 DK. So 5 batteries in 13 years. Tractor has a bad habit of breaking the plates.

Original battery on my 2001 DK 35 lasted 11 years.
Current battery is 6, hoping for many more.
I am still running on the second battery I'm my pickup truck 22 years I've owned it. 10 years from the first battery, second battery is 12 years old and still good strong.
Still running the original battery in my 2009 street bike. (Dam good for a small battery).
None have ever had a trickle charger on them.

Probably because none of us has ever looked! Whatever the factory chose is what’s still working in mine. I doubt Kioti uses hi tech batteries. My guess is a Korean made commodity lead acid group 24.

My CK35 came with an Interstate battery in it and still starts with a flick of the key five years later.
