How long for rafter boards?

all one has to do is look at the rafter square, look at the rise, see what the number is, and multiply it by feet of run, and add the tail on to the number,

if you can do that take a chalk line snap out the distance of the building, and where the peak is, snap a line at 90 degrees (square) where the peak is and use the chalk line to snap out a rafter, on the lay out and take a tape measure and measure it out from the full scale template you layed out,

one can lay it out to scale 1 inch to the foot s well if you do not have a lot of room,

a common rafter is not that hard and you do not really need math to do it, if you have a framing square,
even the speed squared I think have some of the basic info on them,
