How Many Have More Than One Tractor?

/ How Many Have More Than One Tractor? #101
From what I see, the majority of tractor owners here and everywhere else have only one tractor.

I mean more than one that runs, you maintain, and use regularly... (Don't count the old broke down one behind the barn with 2 flats. )

Surprisingly, after replacing my 2 previous tractors with newer, more improved ones, I find I have have about the same hours on both new ones.

I'd hate to have to choose between them, if I had to pick only one. I really have a use for both.

How many of you are multiple machine owners? Could you get by with just one? Which one would you pick if you had to?
I have 2 tractors and a skidsteer and an 800 ft driveway to clear in the winter. It's handy to have more than 1 as something always breaks in the winter when you need it most.

We have two. A Massey 1742 with a loader and a John Deere 4610 we use primarily for bush hog work in our fields and finish mowing around our pond. We also have 2 John Deere X738 four-wheel drive mowers that we also use for blowing snow. They probably don't count as true tractors but they're quite powerful and do a great job with mowing and snow removal. We also have a Nagano N-35 mini-excavator on rubber tracks. Runs great and we use it for moving blow downs, setting culverts, building stone walls etc.

True. Many home owners, small businesses/farms have only one as that fills their needs and will probably for quite some time. As those needs increase, they may upgrade. Others, such as larger businesses/farms have multiple tractors for multiple needs. Just around me, within 30-50 miles, there are all of these. I, and others, have one as a home owner. A neighbor has a tractor with loader, and a bunch of 3PH attachments for his landscaping business. Another neighbor has a ton of tractors and tanks for his custom contract manure spreading business. In between there are dairy farms of all sizes from small organic dairies to several thousand cows. All with tractors of all manner of shapes, colors, and sizes to do the work. And do all the other 'diesel' powered machines as tractors too? Combines, cutters, choppers, etc? Many owned by guys doing custom and contract work. And then there are the several guys who collect and restore older (antique) tractors. Some are lawn ornaments. Others are fully restored parade/show specimens. And I love living in an agricultural area where some of the antiques are every day work horses! Maybe we need a new thread dedicated to working antiques?

I'm not a farmer, just a homeowner with a few acres to mow. When we moved here we got a screaming ($500) deal on a "broken" MF20D that was not broken, used as a fairway mower. It's been a great machine except lacking a loader was severely limited for our needs. Recently got a new Kioti with a loader and told the wife I'd sell the Massey as part of my justification for buying the new machine. Turns out as so many of you know that having more than one is way handy! I've got a chipper mounted up and it does just fine as a power unit since we got rid of the 12' wide reel mower it came with (not appropriate for our yard). Yes I'd like a third machine, probably like a mini excavator but in reality I'll just rent by the project as-needed.

I have 2: Kubota L4600 that I bought new and a NH TZ22DA subcompact that I bought used. Both are used regularly to help me maintain my orchards and other misc stuff. I couldn't maintain this place without the Kubota and would hate to give up the NH.

I'm down from four to two this year, having sold two antique tractors that ran. I have a skid steer and two 4x4 cab tractors, and access to two more. I run a hay business which requires all of this. If I had only the property to maintain, I would probably have one 4x4 cab tractor in the 70 hp range.
