I have a 2011 5035 HST open station with backhoe and a cab'd 2016 2555 HST..... both of which I am glad I could buy and use the last twenty years or so of my life. No regrets, other than all the years I put up with older tractors. Life is good...... :) Was really looking hard at the New Hollands/Case, but then they stopped sourcing them from Suburu..... and lost interest. Waited too long pulling the trigger..... Once I saw the 5035 with it's huge 14X17.5 front tires... I had stirrings down below I had not had in many, many years....

I noticed that some of the LS tractors still use shibaura engines, but the ones with the 6 year warranty are a different engine.

At one time all the 30-45hp NH's were all built by Subaru, then they started making it hard to get a HST when they went to CVT. I was stuck between a 45hp HST cab [little on the small side for what I needed] and a 60hp 16 speed cab [big enough but not a HST, but 16 spd trans]. Would have went with the NH front snow blower on the 45hp and an Erskine front blower for the 60hp. Anywhilst, I hesitated too long and all they had was the CVT's. And then I ended going with the 5035 as an open station TLB and just used the 78" rear blower I was using with my old JD 2240 Reverser. Worked out OK.... Now I have a cab'd 2555 HST with a 78" Mahindra front blower... even better yet. Still have the 78" rear blower to put on the 5035 if the 2555 goes down for some reason in our 140"+ snow season.

Next time I'm over there I'll look. I want to say it's it's a 6010 or something. Just going off what they told me for hp. I've run it twice. Once when they got it stuck, called me and I put it in 4wd and drove it out and the second time to cut a small area when I had my box blade on. Wasn't impressed.

A 6010 would be a Mahindra unit. 59hp. Light weight for the hp. Same basic engine as my 4025, but turbo for the extra 17hp. But with the cab, it's almost 1k lighter than my ROP. Big drop from a 100hp, 7500lb 5100 Deere.

At the time i had a 5055 cab with only 55hp. I wasn't impressed with the cab. I had to search the Internet to figure out how to engage the pto. Little did I know it was a cheesy push button. Overall fit and finish was not what's I expected. Never made any complaints about the power just the cab. I think the OOS are put together nicer. More rugged and less plastic.

My 5100 is well over 10k too :D

I have a 5030, it has had leaks since day one. Have had 4 fixed by dealer and have two leaks now. Other than the leaks, have had no problems. Only have 116 hours on a 2013, but I split my time on 2 other tractors and do not farm any longer. Wanted a Deere, but they did not want to sell me one, I tried, I really tried but they did not care enough to get out of their chair! Kubota was to light in the rear, it almost would lift the rear just stopping the bucket! Also, kabota had a lot of hydraulic problems on the model I was looking at. Over all I really like the tractor, some of the design could be better but it is a beast for the size tractor!

Seems like there have been a lot of problems with leaks on the Mahindra tractors. I am still debating between a Mahindra 3550 or an LS Xr4155. LS has about 6 more HP but it weighs about 800 lbs less. I have read my fair share of issues with LS as well. I guess just get one that has the best ergonomics and hope for the best.

That's all anyone can do, I bought used and rolled the dice, I ended up getting lucky on the tractor I bought.

Used cars are more of a challenge, in the last 5 years I have had terrible luck.

I have had my Max26 XL for just over a year now and so far I'm loving it. It has done everything I hoped it would for minor excavating, land clearing, snow plowing, yard mowing, etc. Basically any little project I can throw it at it has done well. My only complaint is that there is literally 0 protection for any part of the undercarriage. All of the hydraulic lines etc are exposed and vulnerable, and trust me, they are not cheap to replace. :duh: I don't know if any competitors are any different or not but I would like to see some sort of protection there. I still wouldn't treat it like my ATV with full skid plates and go over practically anything though. A cotter pin came out of my mower link arms and it basically fell off and got jammed up underneath the tractor and damaged 2 hydraulic lines. Luckily that was all it did. It was a kind of a freak thing but just an expensive lesson of how **** happens.
