How many until you're a tractor hoarder

Tried it out today in the tree farm. Not much wrong with it. Probably the brakes need a little work. I think the previous owners never took it out of four wheel drive cleaning their horse stalls judging by the worn out front tires; a trip to Les Schwab will fix that. It is great in the brush in the tree farm. smaller and more maneuverable than my Deere 3005 and way easier to scoot around with the power steering compared to my B7100. It is noticebly light judging by the bouncing on my rough logging road even with tires filled in the rear. In summary appears just right for the tree farm. I'll use the B7100 around the neighborhood and use the Deere on the "farm" (pastures and woodlot). All together I've got 140 acres between three places - a tractor for each - so must not be hoarding. Wouldn't that make you a tractor ***** and not a hoarder lol

Just as in the case of hand tools, every tool has a more or less specific purpose. If a person has enough land and different tasks for different tractors, I don't think it would be called hoarding. Each tractor may be able to perform the task better because of its size, HP;etc. :tractor:

Okay, I have an acre here to play with, One 8N and a L3000dt w/ 52 in rear tiller, plus gas rear tine tiller. Rich by some standards, Hoarder NOPE???

Well, I have a 50`by 100`lot in the city and I own 3 tractors and a garden tractor!

I bought them for a friend to use on his acreage and that`s where they are kept (of course). Between us both we have 6 running tractors and another 6 that are in various stages of repair from one tractor that was in a fire so it`s a parts machine all the way up to just needs crank bearings replaced. That`s not counting the 3 running garden tractors we have or the couple that aren`t!

Neighbour has something like 18 tractors but they are a dairy and have a couple hundred acres. I think they just leave each tractor hooked up to matching implement most of the time to save irritation.
