How To Remove Lift Cover - Ford 3000

I primed the pump and am back in business. Another question though, after removing the bleeder plug the fluid that eventually came out was milky, about the color of hot chocolate. That means water right? I let this run for a good minute thinking the contaminated fluid would work it's way out but it never stopped. Since I emptied the sump and refilled with new fluid I cannot figure out where the water came from. At this point the tractor had not even been outside. For as long as I let it bleed I would have thought the old fluid from the lines and pump would have flushed out.

C5NNN832B is the return filter (#50) in diagram. The suction filter is #60 in the attached diagram.

So, if your tractor is a 3000 and earlier than 03/31/1968 it is C5NNN994M. From 04/01/1968 it is C7NNN994B.

As said, try Messick's. You could also find dealers through an internet search for the numbers.

I am having to remove my lift housing cover on my Ford 5000. I tried to lift my lift housing cover and would not release from the right side. Is there a bolt or something else that is holding the housing in place? ... All bolts were checked for removal and all was fine... Just some reason I can not get the right side to lift and didnt want to go any further or apply any unusual force breaking something. ANY IDEAS? ..

The filter on the right side has a threaded pipe that screws into the cylinder in the top deck. I cracked the housing trying to remove mine 2 years ago and it was a $2000 repair. I had the cylinder housing repaired at a machine shop, and the tractor is still torn down awaiting time to put it back together. The d#$%@ I&T manual does not show this.......
