Tractor
Kubota B2910
I just got my B2910 and I need to tow a 12 foot trailer. The trailer has a standard ball hitch. How can I rig my Kubota up to tow this trailer. Is there an attachment that I can get to add onto my tractor to pull wagons and trailers? Is there a trailer hitch attachments for tractors?
Thanks.

Yes, there are ball hitch accomodations available for your 3-pt hitch. Your local dealer should be able to help you find one, or one of the online-enabled outfits should have it. Norther Tool used to have one listed, but I couldn't find it on their new site arrangement...

Several threads are here on TBN about that. Here is one for example.

Put a ball on your drawbar. That way you don't have to worry about moving the center of gravity with the 3pt hitch.
This is what my dealer recommended. Now, if I only could find my drawbar.

This was one of the main purposes I bought my tractor for - moving the trailers in and out of the back yard. I tried the drawbar, and finally bought the 3pt attachment from northern tool <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=6970&langId=-1&catalogId=4006970&PHOTOS=on&TEST=Y&productId=7767&categoryId=0>(Link)</A>

I have found that this works much better than the drawbar if the trailer has any weight to it. Many folks on this list have made their own version of a 3pt attachment.

From what I've read in my 7500's manual, you're only supposed to use the drawbar attached to the tractors frame. I'm guessing that's where the most weight can be towed. I installed a 2" ball on mine and tow a 4'x8' trailer loads of pond muck (1500lbs) all over my property without any problem.

I just bought a drawbar today for my BX22 and hooked up a 10'x6' trailer to it. I placed the ball in one of the holes for the drawbar. When I hooked it up and took off the drawbar moves back and forth. (not side to side but back and forth) Pivioting is the right way to describe it I guess. Any help?

You need some form of connection up to the top link in order to keep the ball/drawbar level. A drawbar alone will not do the trick.

Ok that is what I figured. Either a connection to the top link or some way to connect it to the bottom of the tractor. My old Yanmar 1702d had a slot under near the rear axle that I supposed you used for this purpose. Thanks again!
