HP differance between B2620 and B2920

There is 3hp differance motor and PTO on these two tractors, is it a noticable differance when finish mowing and snow blowing? I know everyone says go bigger but its around 2500-3000 differance at the dealer I checked at.

I bought the 2620 and it is fine blowing snow, digging up large stumps as well as moving soil around. I went thru the same analysis that you are going thru and I'm happy with the 26 horse model.

I would'nt think the HP would be that noticeable. I ended up getting the B2320 and upgraded the FEL to a LA364 which comes on the 2620 and 2920.

It is a 11% increase in hp and yes you will notice. You should be able to upgrade for around $1500 not 3000.

I couldn't tell a difference between the 2320 and the 2620 so I ended up with a 2320. Wish I would have upgraded to the 364 but the 304 has done everything I've needed. The 2320 has more than enough power for finish mowing (60" at least), never blown snow.

I have'nt personally come across any situations where I wished I had the additional 3-6 HP. PTO HP may be different, but I don't have any PTO driven implements at this time. I have ran out of traction a couple times though. I guess it just comes down to money really.

I looked at the 2320, 2620 and 2920 and ended up with the 2920. I do think the difference is noticeable, but its really more at the PTO. If you run a PTO HP intensive implement like a wood chipper or generator then the increase in HP is very important. if you don't then realistically I don't think either tractor has enough traction to be HP limited. (I think I've managed to to bog my b2920 twice with non PTO activities, once by pushing on dry pavement with lots of weight and traction and another time pulling in the same situation. It all comes down to your use. The 2320 has a different loader and a few other small differences, so that one has more differences than just HP

Right i should have said it comes with a different loader standard. Hydraulics i believe are identical across all 3

The 2920 engine is 8.5 CID larger. That is significant in an engine of this size, and you will definitely notice the torque difference when using PTO driven equipment.

WWIW, blowing snow sucks up HP even more so than does mowing heavy grass with a rough cut mower. The 3 HP difference will not be an issue when finish mowing with a 60" or even 72" finish mower so long as you keep the grass under control. You will definitely notice it when using a rough cut mower in heavy grass.
