HP increase module? Deere 3038e

I understand...but $600 vs $50K when you just need a little more power?
or.....just bump up the throttle some.

"I tried module turned off & higher rpm, all it did was spin tires."

Do they post dyno results?

I’d guess it up the boost at lower rpm’s and bumps up the fuel. I seriously doubt it will use less fuel for you, or at least not enough difference you would notice. It might also alter injection timing.

It would be simple enough for them to post a dyno graph.

Ya, flipping a switch doesn't add weight & traction. Unless it's activating fwa or a diff lock. Spinning tires needs you need more weight or traction, not more power.

No way you save fuel & increase power at the same time. Anybody that tries to sell you something that does both is selling snake oil & I wouldn't trust any of their claims
This statement is false. A tune can add more power and burn less fuel by ignoring emissions. Machines can run leaner during light loads and burn less fuel but this increases emissions regulators don’t like. Obviously when at max load it’s burning more fuel but unless you are at max load 100% of time a tune can be more efficient at less than max load and have more power while netting overall less fuel usage.(depending on the low load vs high load ratios a person operates the machine at).

That's correct. The higher rpm the more likely you break traction.
Our farrier got his Ram 3500 pickup stuck off the road. I pulled him out going uphill in snow with my 300 cu in six 4x4 F150 in granny gear at idle rpm. If I released clutch at 5,000 rpm, what would happen?
HP is just a mathmatical derivitive of torque, curves cross at 5252.
I'm elated having tractor with increased torque at a lower rpm.
Another example is suppose I bush hog running it at 550 PTO rpm and engine rpm is at 1600. Going uphill either engine bogs or rpm drops. With more hp (torque) using the module all is well.
Sure...I could run tractor at 2500 rpm...but now hog is running at 1000 rpm which I don't want to do.
And $600 is much better than paying, say, $30,000 difference when this works just fine.

What????🤪 So, you are saying that Deere didn't match peak power with 540 pto speed? Your tractor has a 1000 rpm pto on it?

If you are always running the engine that slow while doing work, it is no wonder you want more power.🤨

I don't understand your confusion.
My bush hog recommended rpm is 550. For that to happen the engine must run whatever rpm gives 550 PTO rpm. If engine is at 1,600 rpm that gives 550 PTO rpm.
It's an example...I'm not at the tractor to verify 100%...but close.
This year bush hogging I won't have engine bog or rpm drops which is my concern.
