HTTP 404 ERROR

Muhammad, all day today, I have been unable to open the links to .jpg files on TBN posts. So far, the problem has not been replicated on other sites...leading me to believe the problem exists here on TBN. Any Ideas?

Below is what I've found about the error:

Not Found - Wait, yes it is....
The requested object does exist on this server. The link you followed is neither outdated nor inaccurate, and the server has been instructed to let you have it. Please bow in awe and offer sacrifices to the site administrator of the referring page.
404 Error - File Not Found
The annoying little reminders that either someone has miswritten the URL, deleted the file you are looking for, or the net spirits are against you and will see to it you will never find the information you are looking for.
Below are lists of links to 404 error messages, some with graphics, some just ironic in their titles, and some helpful 404 links. The only problem with listing these links is if they (them, those people) realize their links are miswritten, they may correct them and these will all be valid links to who knows what.

Could that be caused by a corrupted cookie? Doesn't seem likely, but then......

The link you were talking about (Harv's muddy path) was a fully qualified URL to the JPG file. Since the base part of the URL is the same as the rest of TBN, you must be having some other issue on your machine, or the images were temporarily unavailable (just at the time you were looking).

Have you gone back and looked again? They're working fine for me at the moment (10:15PM pacific time 11/3).

Hey Scruffy,

Check out the dates on the posts you can't see the pictures. If they are more than 6 months old (or so), they were put up before Muhammad did the server upgrade. He hasn't brought back those old pix (but I think he said he wanted to someday)....

Hey Glueguy, I caught the month/day didn't pay the slightest to the year. You're right, they are from 00. NO WONDER, they wouldn't display, even though others said they opened fine. (??) Oh well, something to occupy the mind, if I could find it anyway!

Any picts posted before the beginning of the year are still inaccessible, but I know you knew that. I guess it was easy enough to not notice the date on each post. Heck, I'm still trying to get used to the fact that the current year starts with a zero. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Today is 01/11/05, isn't it? At least it makes my files sort better when I name them that way (i.e. Photo011105-03.jpg). Guess I gotta remember that's not the way the rest of the world thinks. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif
