I was thinking the same thing. 26 feeders with a liter of sugar water a day would feed over 500 hummingbirds. Wow! Hummingbird Feeding

I'm down from 4 big feeders to 2 small ones. Most birds have left, but every couple days we'll get another 1-3 stragglers stop in for a day or two.

Down to a bird every few days now. We fill two feeders per day all summer and I thought that was a lot. The birds we get now are passing threw, it takes them a few passes to get at the feeders.

Cover up your red pull handle on your garage door lift...they love those things and then get confused.

About half of our feeders are the cheap plastic one-bird-drinks-at-a-time cylinder shaped ones. They seem to prefer them to the larger ones. The downside is that they have to be refilled frequently. After the broods hatched we had so many that we bought sugar in a 50 lb bag to keep up. We have many flowers for them, too. Each year we seem to have more and more show up (I guess the word gets around about how easy we are).
