Wishing all the best to you that suffered the 'eye' of Michael. I'm sure most of you that were close and affected have more important matters to tend to vs. posting here, but please do post when you get a chance and let us know you are okay and how you are making do.

Its moving fast, already left NC. I am just on the west side of the rain, will barely get any, and don't need any.

Lots of trees and power lines down around Tallahassee. My generator has been running since 3 yesterday. We didn't have any house damage but others weren't as fortunate.

Good to hear, JD! I remember you said you should have evacuated. That has to be a tough decision! Hope we never to have to make that one.

My wife text me yesterday that Duke Energy contacted her that our power was out. That was at 11:23 am. Turned on the generator once I got home last night and she's still running. Got a feeling that it's going to be several days. Certainly not anywhere as bad as it could have been. The location I live in is prone to power outages. Hope everyone stays safe.

We got a little damage. The worse of it is a tree on our building. Our power was out for a little while. Had to run the generator for a couple hours before it came back on. I wasn’t gonna hook it up but the kids needed a bath. Had 2 trees on fence as well.

The death toll is up to 13 as of this time/post...but I'm afraid it could get a lot worse as there is reported to be a tremendous number people still unaccounted for...

I heard one of the harder hit counties in FL only had 40% compliance with the mandatory evacuation notice. I will be surprised if the death toll doesn't continue to climb.

I just got power back a little while ago. After Hermine we were in the final few hundred to get power and this time we are in the front end for a change. 83% of our county is still out.

That storm was a nasty one. The pictures are horrific and I bet it was downright terrifying being in it.
