Got it thanks:

According to that almost all of their rigs have a locking diff. The GT 48DXLS appears to have been replaced by the YT 48DXLS

Still keeping my eyes open for what the spring will bring.
I have done not just a ton of research , but been at it for nearly 2 years and at this time the Husq seems to be a great value and quality for the money...

The YT is not a replacement for the GT -- very different tractor. GT is a garden tractor model, YT is a riding mower. Now, they are all more or less consumer machines, but the GT will have bigger wheels and other garden tractor features.

A Garden will have substantially stronger and more powerful axle/Hydrostatic unit. A yard tractor is a "not even funny joke" compared to a well appointed garden tractor. No comparison. Like composing a BB gun to a 30-06 rifle.

Many models have automatic locking differentials, the GT48DXLS has a manual (rider controlled) locker - which was my requirement.

Same here and a fabricated mower shroud are my big 2 must haves.

I wouldn't get hung up on fabricated versus stamped decks as the only factor for the deck. Also consider gauge of the material, quality of the brackets and wheels, and flow/performance. Manufacturing advances make it possible to build a heavier stamped deck nowadays, whereas in the past it had to be fabricated. Stamped tends to have better airflow and less clogging/buildup issues because they can build it with smoother shapes. Many of the high-end professional zero-turn mowers (of multiple brands) come with a stamped deck nowadays, and same goes for some of the mid-mount-mowers on compact tractors. Really comes down to what they can manufacture based on the various requirements and specs. If they can do it with a stamping, that's the best of both worlds.
