Here's before and after pics so you can see the different hoseline.

Thx for posting the pix. I gather this is not a recall, but a retrofit when
the oil cooler connection eventually fails? I wonder if all our CKs will
eventually leak here as the hours mount up.

Also I wonder if new Kiotis are being delivered with the hose kits installed. Might be something for buyers to look for right along with the heavy tie rod and new loader.

Mine hasn't leaked after 460 hours but I keep an eye on it during cleanings.

Twiggy, get rid of that acid bomb battery, it'll leak all over and corrode everything out. Glad to hear a dealer fixed you up.

From RexB's post it looks like his new tractor came with the flexible hoses. What kind of battery do you use Highbeam?

After slopping that corrosive acid out of my "sealed" battery all over the place during normal tractor operation. I replaced it with an Optima style AGM gel battery. No leaks, no corrosion, no fumes. I love those things, same battery as I use in my truck. Each assembler adds their battery to the Kioti tractor and my dealer just used a cheap walmart (Exide?) battery which worked well except for the mess it made.

The New Holland folks are seeing radiator and cooler damage as this acid gets sucked into the radiators by the engine fan.

Glad to hear that Kioti has upgraded their tractors yet again in response to field failures. It shows they are moving ahead.

There also is that clanking sound at the rear axle when I let out the clutch (it's an hst). I'll see if it goes away when I change all the hydraulic fluids and filters in about 25 hours. It has 370 something on it now.
Twigpig I have heard the same sound from mine since I got it. I think it is more related to the PTO than the rear axel though. I really don't know what to make of it!

.

You got that right. I assembled my own CK30 and bought a battery from,
you guessed it, Walmart.

I would like to see a conversion of the pull style radiator fan to a pusher
fan. Then all the crap (and battery fumes) get pushed out front, rather
than back thru the radiator. Of course, that would heat the battery up
more.....

I have the sound too. Though the click is not consistent. It goes away when I have the post hole digger attached (but not engaged), which leads me to believe it is in the PTO when there is no load on it. I have noticed that neutral on the pto isn't completely neutral. My shaft still spins a bit if there is no load on it when in neutral. Also, I get a similar click sound when the diff lock unlocks after use, but only once as it's disengaging.

I too have the minor gear noise in the rear gear case. It is not
consistant. I would characterize the sound as lash between gears
in an unloaded situation, as my guess.

I noticed that clacketty clackety all the time while warming up or any time the clutch is out which is most always. The engine really purrs like a kitten with the clutch locked down.

The noise is the same after all those hours and after repeatedly changing the filters. Twice on the HST and 4 or five on that long hydro filter. I say it is the nature of the beast.

I have the same 'quiet' intermittent rattling in the rear, listening with a stethoscope probe it comes from the PTO housing (luckily).

Pics of the factory Flexible lines to the Hydraulic Cooler on a new CK30, both in and out lines.

Dealer installed the battery, will see how it holds up.

Squeaky clean engine compartment, but we'll fix that lol.
