Clackity Clack is straight cut PTO gears.
The 3054's have done it for years.
I've NEVER replaced a PTO gear set on a Kioti.
I just had a customer the other day engage the PTO on her 45hp tractor at WIDE OPEN THROTTLE.
6ft Hog+45HP worth of Wide Open Throttle+PTO engagment= PTO Shaft Pretzel

If you disengage EVERYTHING it stopped on the 3054's
Range selector-shuttle lever-trans lever, all in nuetral.
Haven't tried it on the HST units.
I'll talk to Kioti and see if they can put lighter duty gears in them so they don't make that noise. LOL
No Worries Guys

Also I wonder if new Kiotis are being delivered with the hose kits installed. Might be something for buyers to look for right along with the heavy tie rod and new loader.Twiggy, get rid of that acid bomb battery, it'll leak all over and corrode everything out. Glad to hear a dealer fixed you up.

I'm with you on the acid battery issue---the costco piece that was dealer installed garbaged up the battery cable and did some cosmetic acid damage to battery tray---I looked at it one time and all was good then a few months later was all trashed---I got an Optima too.
I figure vibration coupled with a poor case to terminal seal is the battery problem.
i'm checking into the flex cooler lines to replace before they crack something- a line or the cooler. I'm still waiting for the loader retrofit kit---no issues there however with my limited use.

That is good to know.

Ouch. So the shaft failed and not the gears in this case? That tractor
must have had the electric switch PTO engagement, I would think. Or
did she pop the clutch at WOT?

The JD 955 has an electical PTO engagement and an aluminum PTO
gear box (no clutch). The rental company I bought my 955s from
experienced numerous trashed PTOs, prob from what your customer did.

OK, back to the hydraulic cooler, I took the CK25 to the dealers today (Monday June 4). They were not open so I left the tractor in back. I have informed Kioti and they are tracking the situation.
I called the dealer after noon and they have acknowledged that the tractor is there and will let me know thier opinion on Wed. June 6.
I intend to keep posting info about this.

Good for you, the manfr/dealer should replace their factory parts at their cost if that's what is wrong, like done for twigpig (if he got the hauling cost back too.)

Ok Hoffie. What's the word? Sorry. I didn't mean to hijack your thread. I should have posted the gear noise in another thread. The answers put my mind at ease about the noise though.
RexB. I changed my own cooler and it was an easy thing to do. It was probably less trouble than loading and unloading a tractor on a trailer let alone hauling it somewhere. If the dealer was smart they would send an apprentice mechanic out to your place and change it in the field. They would probably be happy to get out of the shop. It would probably be cheaper than paying to have the tractor hauled. Heck, if I owned the dealership I would probably do it myself if I wasn't delivering someone's new tractor. That has got to be the best "job" at a tractor dealership, delivering a new tractor.
Hey look I'm bronze. What does it take to be orange?

Latest update as of 6/7/7:
The tractor is at the dealers. He has a cooler but does not have the flex pipe, so he is ordering them. They are on back order and he will do the job when they get in.
I took the tractor in on 6/4. He cannot tell me when I can get it back because of the back order problem with Kioti. I'm hoping for the best. I need the tractor to spray my Douglas Fir christmas trees on 6/15. He knows that.

Sounds like you're being taken care of Ok. When the dealer's done, here's pics of the factory installed Flexible Lines to the Hydraulic Cooler on a new CK30 for comparison. Or the pics of twigpig's own good installation.

I hope so and thanks for the pictures. Hope this is the end of problems with the Kioti.
Oh, I just found out that the hoses will be delivered to the dealer on or before June 14.
