I own a New Holland TC29D, and was running loads of soil from field to yard. As I was scooping, I stalled the engine while scooping. Now hydraulic pump makes screaching noise when limits hit. It sounds like when its very cold out and I use the FEL. (told that was normal for NH when cold)
What steps should I take to determine the damage/repair?

Does the loader operate correctly other than noise at lift limits?

Is noise only when you hit load limits and loader is not moving even though you wanting it to move?

If only at load limit what you are describing sounds like relief valve squealing when you hit pressure limit and nothing is hurt or damaged.

Sorry, should have added more details. Yes, it operates as it should, when it should, aside from the now loud squealing/screeching. I don't want to mess it up anymore than I have.
Hydraulic fluid in normall operating range.
